After starting the season with three consecutive wins, Oregon State finds itself in a very complicated stage of the schedule after losing to USC and now facing Utah.
Against the Trojans, the Beavers’ offense kept having problems with turnovers, giving up four interceptions to quarterback Chance Nolan, who has six interceptions and six touchdowns on the season. They only gained 320 yards in total, and things might get tough against a good Utah defense.
Oregon State’s hope is what its defense can do. Against USC, they conceded only 17 points and in three of their first four games the opponents couldn’t score more than 30. Of course, the Utes’ ground attack is one of the greatest in the country, so they will need to focus as much as possible to keep this good pace.

Defensively, after conceding 29 points to Florida, they conceded just 27 points over the next three weeks. They allowed 261 yards via the air against Arizona State, but only six yards on the ground.

They can attack well both in the air and on the ground; however, the Beavers left many questions about their defense.
