Germán Berterame will no longer be an Atlético de San Luis player, but he is already in the sights of several Liga MX teams that are interested in reinforcing their offensive.
The Argentine striker arrived at Atlético de San Luis in July 2019 and in a short time he made a place for himself in the starting lineup. As the goals started to come in, he became a vital member of the team. Germán Berterame had his best performance between the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 seasons, as he was the top scorer for the Potosí squad in both tournaments, scoring nine and eight goals, respectively. In fact, in the Apertura 2021, he was the scoring champion together with Nicolás López de Tigres.
Berterame has appeared in 90 games for San Luis and scored 31 goals since his arrival in Mexico.
Although he has adapted to the team, it seems that the player is looking for new horizons. His relationship with Atlético de San Luis is about to expire and there will be no renewal, so for now he will be willing to listen to offers from other teams.
According to information provided by ESPN, Germán Berterame is on the radar of Club América and Rayados de Monterrey .

A few months ago, before Clausura 2022 began, there were rumors that the 23-year-old had been sought by Cruz Azul, but in the end he stayed with the “albirrojo” team.

Aside from rumors that he could move to America or Monterrey, it’s also been said that the player could go to the Old Continent and continue his career there. This idea is not unreasonable, considering that Atlético de San Luis is a subsidiary of Atlético de Madrid and the striker’s pass belongs to the Spanish team.
There had been talk of a possible extension to keep the player in San Luis, but with less than a month until the start of the Apertura 2022, there is currently no prospect. The most recent information that is circulating regarding Berterame is that people from the Rayados management board are in Spain trying to reach an agreement with Atlético de Madrid.
According to a TUDN publication, Berterame has not made a decision about his future because he dreams of playing in Europe and hopes that the Madrid team can make him a place in the team or transfer him to another.
