The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at the Glen is marking the end of this season as we make our way through the playoffs. Therefore, the last positions that give access to this new round are still to be defined, so this race is of vital importance for many drivers.

At JefeBet we already gave you an overview of the favorites to take home the trophy in this race, but now we’ll delve into the underdogs, and why you should consider them for this coming weekend at Watkins Glen.

Underdog Betting Preview for the Go Bowling at the Glen NASCAR Cup Series on August 21, 2022

Christopher Bell (Odds +1800)

It took Christopher Bell ten races to get into a rhythm this NASCAR Cup Series season, but after a 22nd-place finish in the GEICO 500, Bell has been in the top ten in nine out of the 14 races he has competed in since then, including a victory in the Ambetter 301 in New Hampshire.

This includes a second-place finish at Richmond in last Sunday’s Federated Auto Parts 400, which, coupled with his seventh-place finish in this race in 2021, makes Bell one of the drivers to consider for this coming Sunday.

Martin Truex Jr. (Odds +2000)

Martin Truex Jr. is still waiting for his first victory in this NASCAR Cup Series season, and this race at Watkins Glen International is the perfect opportunity for him to get it after finishing in the top 10 in four of the last five races he has competed in.

Truex Jr. has been one of the most dominant drivers on this circuit in recent years, and, since winning the race in 2017, he has finished on the podium in all three subsequent editions, and the odds presented to us by bookmakers for him are too good to pass up.

Kevin Harvick (Odds +2500)

At 46 years of age, Kevin Harvick showed us in the last couple of weeks that he still has gas left in the tank. Nearly 700 days passed since his last win before his triumph in the FireKeepers Casino 400, and to everyone’s surprise, Harvick managed to keep the momentum going to win last Sunday’s Federated Auto Parts 400.

Will he manage to win three races in a row? It will be difficult, but three consecutive top 10s at Watkins Glen suggest that he will at least compete near the front.
