We are witnessing one of the PGA golfers’ favorite tournaments. The Mexico Open has just joined the PGA Tour and has quickly become one of the most dynamic and rooted events, as Mexican fans get deeply involved in what happens on the field.
It is a very appealing prize, maybe not the highest on the Tour, but quite interesting. A total of $7.3 million will be distributed, and the champion will take home $1,314,000, not bad for only its second year on the circuit.
Being so close to the Masters and PGA Championship, the field is full of talent. For example, the world number one, Jon Rahm, will be present at the Vidanta Vallarta course. This course favors PGA Tour bombers with its wide fairways and wind, although the humidity makes the greens very fast, which ends up being perfect for refining the short game.
Without further ado, at JefeBet, we explain how the money will be distributed in this PGA tournament. We have already given you the favorites, and now we show you the amounts to be distributed in this very entertaining Mexico Open 2023.

Additional Data and Information of Mexico Open Tournament 2023
— The first champion of this tournament was Al Espinoza, who won it in 1944 at the Chapultepec Golf Club. As the championship was not part of the PGA, there was no cash prize.
— Only seven Mexicans have won it, with Álvaro Ortiz being the latest in 2021, when the tournament was part of the Latin American Tour and did not distribute points for the world golf ranking.
— The winner of the first PGA Tour edition was Jon Rahm, who took home $1,314,000, the same amount that is up for grabs this year. As this is a young tournament on the tour, its prize money has not yet risen to match that of the more established ones.
