The Wells Fargo Championship is not only one of the highest purse tournaments on the PGA Tour, but also one of the youngest and most attractive on the calendar, and as mentioned here, it is home to the three most difficult holes in the entire PGA.
The previous prize pool for this tournament was $9,000,000, but the PGA raised it to compete with the LIV Tour, so it was increased to $20 million, making it one of the highest paying on the tour and therefore one of the most attractive to golfers. The winner will take home $3,600,000.
We said it was one of the youngest, since it only started in 2003 and on that occasion the prize to be distributed was only $5,600,000 dollars and the winner was David Torns, who took home $1,008,000 dollars.
At JefeBet we explain how the purse of this PGA tournament will be distributed. We already gave you the favorites and now we show you the amounts at stake in this Wells Fargo Championship.
