The playoffs continue in the 2022-23 PGA Tour season, with the Top 50 players after the FedEx St. Jude Championship looking each looking to have a strong performance this week in Illinois to make the cut for the Tour Championship. With that said, here are some of the top players, sleepers, and a dark horse to watch out for in this grand tournament.

Rory McIlroy (+650 on DraftKings)
The Northern Irishman seems like a virtual lock to finish at least inside the top 10 in every start he’s making this season. By finishing with a T3 in last week’s, FedEx St. Jude Championship McIlroy extended his streak of T9 or better to eight starts. That stretch includes his win in the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open and a runner-up in the 2023 US Open. McIlroy is 14/16 this season with 11 top 10s and two wins. He is also a perfect 12/12 in his career in the BMW Championship, with a win in 2012.
Scottie Scheffler (+750 on DraftKings)
Scheffler has not been up to his lofty standards of late, as he finished with just a T23 in The Open Championship and a T31 in the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship. However, Scheffler is still regarded as one of the best out there and he’s still ranked No. 1 in the world. He is also No. 1 this season thus far in shots gained: total and shots gained: tee-to-green. He’s got a well-rounded game that puts him always in a position to win any given tournament.
Jon Rahm (+900 on DraftKings)
The Spaniard is a former champion himself in the BMW Championship, having topped the field in the 2020 edition of the tournament. He has finished inside the top 10 in each of his last four starts in the BMW Championship and is a perfect 6/6 as well. On the season, Rahm is 16/18 with four wins and 10 top 10s. When he’s at the top of his game, it’s fair to expect success on the course, especially in one where he’s already won before.
Sleeper Picks
Emiliano Grillo (+7000 on DraftKings)
Ranked 35th in the world, Grillo isn’t someone most casual golf fans know. But he’s letting his game speak of late. He’s gone 3/3 in his last three starts, including a pair of top 10s with a T6 in the 2023 The Open Championship and a T10 in the 2023 3M Open. In the first stage of the playoffs, he settled for a T20, which was not bad at all. So far in the 2022-23 PGA Tour campaign, Grillo is 20/27 with a win, seven top 10s, and 11 top 25s. Last year, he cracked the top 20 in the 2022 BMW Championship with a T19 – his best to date in the tournament.
Harris English (+1000 on DraftKings)
After missing the cut in the 2023 The Open Championship, English gathered himself and rebounded with a T33 in the Wyndham Championship before a T52 in the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship. Those finishes are really not much to write home about, but that’s enough momentum for English.

Seamus Power (+15000 on DraftKings)
Power still has a shot at making the top 30 for the Tour Championship, as he is currently occupying the 35th spot with 1,147 points.
