Notes about the Experts’ Analysis for 2023 FedEx St Jude Championship
- Rob Bolton of PGATour.com has Rahm atop his power rankings for the 2023 St. Jude Championship: “Rested since the distant T2 at The Open Championship, his seventh podium finish of 2023. The FedExCup points leader and No. 1 in the all-around ranking has a spectacular record in the Playoffs, including a T5 at TPC Southwind a year ago.”
- Meanwhile, Pat Mayo of DraftKings thinks that Tyrell Hatton makes for a good play this week: “Since venturing to America for the first time at Waste Management in February, the Brit’s piled up seven top-six finishes in 15 events, and in total has finished outside the top 20 in only four of those events. ”
- For Rick Gehman of Run Rick Good, Sam Burns deserves attention as well. Burns went 16/23 in the regular season with a win when he topped the field in last March’s World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. Gehman also noted that Burns had a T2 at TPC Southwinds just a couple of years ago and a T20 in 2022.
