- Will Zalatoris is the reigning champion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, but he will not be able to defend his crown, as he’s still recovering from a back surgery he had last April. Zalatoris won the tournament in 2022 with a score of 15-under 265 to edge Sepp Straka.
- Vijay Singh is still the winningest player ever in the history of the St. Jude Championship, having topped the field four times (1993, 1995, 2006, 2008). Other multiple winners of the tournament are Dustin Johnson (2011, 2017, 2020), Jack Nicklaus (1967, 1972), Seve Ballesteros (1983, 1988), Ernie Els (1996, 1997), Sergio Garcia (2001, 2004), and Patrick Reed (2016, 2019).
- Brian Harman, who recently won his first-ever major title in Royal Liverpool, had a pair of hole-in-ones in the same round during the 2015 edition of the tournament, when it was also still known as The Barclays.
- When Nicklaus won the first-ever edition of this tournament (Westchester Classic) in 1967, he took home $50,000 of the $250,000 total purse.
