The PGA Championship, the second major of the 2022/23 PGA Tour season, has recently come to an end, but there is no time to rest as the golf continues and players now have their sights set on the next event: the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.
The tournament will take place as usual at the Colonial Country Club, located in Fort Worth, Texas, and will see golfers compete for the trophy between May 25 and 28, with big names of the Tour taking part in this event.

Scottie Scheffler (Odds +400)
Scottie Scheffler was close of lifting his third trophy this 2022/23 season and his second major title after taking the runner-up spot in the recent PGA Championship, finishing just two strokes behind the champion Brooks Koepka.
Originally from New Jersey, Scheffler has only missed the top 10 in just one of the last seven events he’s participated in on the PGA Tour, including an impressive victory at the Players Championship, placing him as the clear favorite for the Charles Schwab Challenge. As if that weren’t enough, he also secured the second-place spot in the previous edition of this tournament.
Jordan Spieth (Odds +1400)
Jordan Spieth didn’t have the best performance in his last appearance at the PGA Championship, finishing in 29th place. However, he’s got plenty of experience in this tournament, having won it in 2016 and finishing as runner-up in 2021, so he shouldn’t be underestimated going into the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge. He’s certainly one to watch out for as he aims to clinch his first title of the 2022/23 PGA Tour season.
Tony Finau (Odds +1400)
Tony Finau could be one of the golfers to take advantage of participating in a tournament with fewer stars on this occasion, following his disastrous performance at the last PGA major, where he finished in 72nd place. The Utah native has had good showings before in this event, with his best coming in 2019 when he finished as the runner-up, so he’ll be hoping for better luck in this new edition.

Viktor Hovland (Odds +1600)
The bookmakers may not be giving Viktor Hovland enough credit, but this is something we can use to our advantage for big wins. The Norwegian tied for second at the last PGA Championship and came very close to winning the first major of his career and his first title in this 2022/23.
Nevertheless, Hovland has been extremely erratic lately.In a very curious way, however, since in high-level events such as the Masters, The Players and the aforementioned PGA Championship he finished in the top 10, while in his other appearances in minor tournaments from mid-March onwards he did not make it past the top 30.
Collin Morikawa (Odds +1900)
Collin Morikawa’s title drought continues into the 2020/21 season, and the golfer hasn’t had the best of recent results, finishing in 26th place at the PGA Championship and failing to make the cut in his two previous appearances.
However, Morikawa has taken advantage of tournaments with a lower-ranked field, as evidenced by his second-place finish in the Sentry Tournament of Champions and third place in the Farmers Insurance Open, showing that he can still contend in the Charles Schwab Challenge 2023. Don’t count him out just yet.

Sungjae Im (Odds +2000)
Behind the top five favorites is Sungjae Im, who missed the cut in the last major but has demonstrated on many occasions his quality as a golfer on the PGA Tour.
Prior to that poor showing at the PGA Championship, the South Korean finished in the top 10 in three consecutive tournaments, and could take advantage of any slip-up by the favorites to earn a podium spot or perhaps win his first tournament since the 2021/22 Shriners Children’s Open.
