The 2022-23 PGA TOUR season continues its march. This week, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, and many of the world’s best golfers find themselves at Detroit Golf Club to vie for a title at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Favorites
Tony Finau (+1200 on DraftKings)
One doesn’t have to look far to see the reason why Finau is a favorite to win the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. After all, he is the reigning champion of the tournament. Finau won the 2022 edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic by five strokes. As for this performance this season, Finau is 16/12 with four top 10s, including wins at the 2022 Texas Children’s Houston Open and, more recently, at the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta last April. He has also made the cut in four of his last five starts. Finau is coming off a T45 at the 2023 Travelers Championship.
Rickie Fowler (+1400 on DraftKings)
Fowler still commands attention. While he’s not won to date this season, Fowler is on a roll having cracked the top 15 in each of his last four starts. That stretch includes a T5 at the 2023 US Open in which he shot a 62 in the first round. At the 2023 Travelers Championship last week, Fowler finished with T13, while also shooting a 60 in the third round. HE is 3/4 in his career at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with his best finish coming in 2020 when he had a T12.
Hideki Matsuyama (+1600 on DraftKings)
Matsuyama has not missed a cut in months. Since missing the weekend at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard last March, Matsuyama has gone 9/9 with four top 20s and five top 25s over that span. He is also fresh off a T13 at the 2023 Travelers Championship. Overall this season, Matsuyama is 17/19 with two top 10s and nine top 25s. Matsuyama’s best finish thus far this season is a fifth-place performance at the 2023 THE PLAYERS Championship. He had a withdrawal at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic but was good enough to crack the top 25 in the other two times he played at this tournament.
Sleeper Picks
Chris Kirk (+5000 on DraftKings)
A five-time PGA TOUR winner, Kirk is looking to double his win total this season. (He won the 2023 The Honda Classic last February.) He has struggled of late, with three missed cuts in a row, the last being at the 2023 US Open, but he could regain his confidence at Detroit Golf Club this week. Kirk is 3/3 at the course in his career with each start ending in a top-25 campaign.
Aaron Rai (+6000 on DraftKings)
Rai is carrying some significant momentum heading to this week’s event in Detroit. The 28-year-old Rai had a T3 at the 2023 RBC Canadian before coming up with a T4 at the 2023 Travelers Championship. Thus far this season, Rai is 17/25 with two top 10s and seven top 25s.
Dark Horse
Danny Willett (+20000 on DraftKings)
Willet is looking to right the ship again. He had a streak of three consecutive missed cuts end with a T54 at the 2023 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday but was cut again at the 2023 Travelers Championship. He is 3/3 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, with a T4 in 2020.
