The 2022-2023 NHL season is just getting started, and Kings vs Predators face off this Tuesday in a rather interesting Western Conference matchup.

The Los Angeles team evened its record on Monday night by defeating in overtime the Redwings with a 5-4 slate, while Nashville hasn’t played since last Saturday, when the team lost to the Stars by 1-5. At JefeBet, we bring you the best preview of the Kings vs Predators. Keep reading to find out more!

After starting the season with two home losses, the Kings come into Tuesday’s game with two straight away wins.

One of those wins came Monday night against Detroit, a team whose unbeaten season was snapped with Phillip Danault’s second goal of the night. Another goal was scored by captain Anze Kopitar, who continues his historic dominance against the Flyers.

While the win bodes well for a team hoping to return to the postseason, in none of the four games of the campaign have they allowed fewer than four goals –a very high figure for an organization that last year had the ninth-best average in the league with 2.83 goals conceded per game.

Betting on the Nashville Predators

The Predators’ situation is the opposite of the Kings’. After a pair of wins in their first two games against the Sharks in the series played in Prague, the Predators are coming off a loss to the Stars.

In a home-to-home series against Dallas, Nashville showed many offensive problems, and, despite shooting more than 30 times in each of those duels and having nine power plays in their favor, they were only able to score one goal in each match.

On the defensive end, things didn’t go well either, including a weak performance by Juuse Saros, who took 21 shots in Saturday’s game and saved 17 of them, which is a very low percentage considering the small number of shots Dallas took.

JefeBet Prediction

The Kings’ defense is better than they have shown this early in the season. Jonathan Quick allowed just 2.59 goals per game and against a Predators offense that didn’t look good against Dallas, things could be better for Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Similarly, Nashville’s defense is much better than it showed against Dallas, especially the performance of Juuse Saron, who finished third in the Vezina Award voting last campaign.

Prediction: Under (LA 3 – NAS 2).
