Despite not winning, the 32-year-old Northern Irishman had one of the best rounds in the history of the prestigious event that brings together the best golfers in the world.

McIlroy managed to close his participation in Augusta National with a 64-stroke card that allowed him to equal the best final round in the history of the major.

In addition, the second position means the European’s best performance in the Masters in his career. It is the only major tournament he has not been able to win.

Tiger Woods had an outstanding performance in this edition of the Masters, considering that it was the first official event he played since he suffered a traffic accident in February 2021.

The former world number one recorded a 78-stroke card in Sunday’s round to finish in 47th place at 13 over par. He finished with a poor performance, but the fact that he was able to pass the cut for the 22nd time in a brilliant career that places him as the best golfer in history is just remarkable.
