Trying to put an end to the controversy generated by Tommy Pham on the players’ fantasy football, Mike Trout spoke this Sunday about his future as commissioner of the highly controversial league.

During ESPN’s lengthy interview with him at Sunday night’s game between the Anaheim Angels and the New York Mets, the star player spoke a little about the famous fantasy league that revolutionized the Major Leagues a couple of weeks ago.

I’ll tell you right now, we’re probably going to get another commissioner.

Mike Trout on his role in fantasy football

Let’s remember that Mike Trout was accused by Pham of being the worst commissioner in history, and he blamed him, in part, for the problem Pham had with Joc Pederson in the fantasy league and for which he slapped him a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently, the three-time MVP does not want to get into any more trouble and would be willing to give up his position as boss to focus on his talented careers on the diamonds.

However, that did not prevent him from giving a little more information on the subject and revealed that the brand-new winner of the league, which has an entry of $10,000, was the third baseman of the Houston Astros, Alex Bregman.

Mike Trout Kept Nothing to Himself With ESPN

While Mike Trout was talking about the “infamous” fantasy football league, the outfielder had to witness some unpleasant moments that led to the loss of his team, the Angels, to the Mets.

With the game tied at one run apiece, Trout got a little sad when a JD Davis home run gave the visitors the lead, one they wouldn’t lose for the remainder of the game.

Trout also took the opportunity to talk about his great love of American football and the Philadelphia Eagles, the team he has followed since he was little and that he hopes can win the Super Bowl this season.

And hey, since anything goes live, Trout gave his pretty honest take on ESPN’s fantasy football. Something that surely the sports network will not have liked very much, but who is going to complain about it?
