Battle is, well, ready for battle. The 28-year-old fighter is coming off a knockout win over Gabe Green in the first round of their fight last May at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Almeida. If you missed it, it’s alright. That fight ended almost as fast as a blink of an eye, as it took Battle just 14 seconds to get rid of Green.
It was another example of why Battle is a dangerous fighter. He has three knockout victories in his career, which also includes his KO of Takashi Sato (also in the first round) in last year’s UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Hill which earned him a Performance of the Night honors. Battle will be enjoying a 10-inch reach advantage over Fletcher, which is significant especially when considering the power he apparently possesses.
Betting on AJ Fletcher (+160 on DraftKings)
- Odds: +160
- Record: 10-2-0
- Age: 26
- Height: 5′ 10″
- Weight: 171.00 LB
- Reach: 67 in
Although Battle has the reach and height advantages, Fletcher can’t be simply slept on. Fletcher rebounded from back-to-back losses to Matthew Semelsberger and Ange Loosa, both via unanimous decisions, by submitting Themba Gorimbo at UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs. Blanchfield last February.
Although Fletcher is undersized, he’s got the tools to pose a serious threat inside the Octagon to Battle. Fletcher, who has finished fights inside the first round a total of six times since turning pro in 2019, has won four fights via knockouts and five more via submissions. He comes across as a fighter with a strong chin and sound defense, as he’s yet to get knocked out or submitted so far in his MMA career.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Bryan Battle vs AJ Fletcher
Battle’s speed and length will cause trouble for Fletcher, who will go down within two rounds.

Battle wins via KO.
