- Odds: -142
- Record: 12-2-0
- Age: 30

- Weight: 156.00 LB

Fiziev had his six-fight win streak snapped in a majority decision loss to Justin Gaethje last March at UFC 286: Edwards vs. Usman 3. Despite that loss, Fiziev is still in the top 10 of the rankings in the lightweight division. Among his victims since fighting in the UFC in 2019 were Rafael Dos Anjos, Renato Moicano, Bobby Green, and Brad Riddell.
The 30-year-old Fiziev figures to be a dangerous opponent for Gamrot in the standup game, as the Azerbaijani has eight wins via knockouts. Before his loss to Gaethje, Fiziev scored back-to-back knockouts against Riddell and Dos Anjos. He is averaging more significant strikes landed per minute in the UFC than Gamrot, 5.06 to 3.03, and also has six first-round finishes in his career as a professional thus far.
Betting on Mateusz Gamrot (+120 on DraftKings)
- Odds: +120
- Record: 22-2-0, 1NC
- Age: 32
- Height: 5′ 10″
- Weight: 156.00 LB
- Reach: 70.5 in
Unlike Fiziev, Gamrot is coming off a win, as he edged Jalin Turner in a split decision win last March at UFC 285: Jones vs. Gane. That was a nice way for Gamrot to rebound from a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Beneil Dariush, though, that was just his first loss over a span of six fights since 2021.
It is also important to note that Gamrol has a championship pedigree, as he used to be a two-division king back during his days in the KSW. The 32-year-old Polish has never been knocked out, stopped, or submitted so far in his career while having a combined total of 12 wins via T/KOs (7) and submissions (5). He’s shown great potential with wins against UFC vets Norman Parke and Andre Winner in the KSW.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Rafael Fiziev vs Mateusz Gamrot
Gamrot shows better command inside the Octagon, as the seemingly more well-rounded fighter between him and Fiziev. Gamrot comes away with a unanimous decision victory.
Prediction:
Gamrot wins via unanimous decision.
