Don’t expect anything less than an action-packed battle between Emmett and Topuria, Emmett lost his most recent bout in a title match against Yair Rodriguez back in February, but he remains as dangerous as ever. He has an 18-3-1 overall MMA record with six knockout wins and two submission victories. Topuria has an even better record, as he’s undefeated in 13 pro fights, with eight of his wins coming via submissions.
Prediction: Emmett gets back on his feet with a decision win.
Amanda Ribas (-170) vs Maycee Barber (+145)
Women’s Flyweight
Ribas (11-3-0) will look to sustain her winning form when she shares the Octagon with Barber in his UFC event. The 29-year-old Brazilian is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Viviane Araujo last March. It’s been nearly three years since she last won consecutive fights, so this offers Ribas another golden opportunity to do so while improving her stock in the division. Barber is on the outside looking in of the top 10 UFC rankings in the women’s flyweight division, but she has been on the rise. Carrying a 12-2-0 record, Barber has won all her last four fights, including a split decision win over Andrea Lee last March.
Prediction: Ribas wins by split decision.
Cody Brundage (-115) vs Sedriques Dumas (-105)
Middleweight
Brundage is seeking an end to his losing skid. The 29-year-old Brundage, who has an 8-4 record, has lost in both of his last couple of fights. In his most recent bout, he got submitted by Rodolfo Vieira in the undercard of UFC Fight Night: Song vs. Simon just last April. Although he’s not a household name in the world of MMA at the moment, Brundage was a former middleweight and light heavyweight champion of Lights Out Championship. Dumas (7-1-0) is also hunting for a rebound win after a submission loss at the hands of Josh Fremd last March. That’s his only loss so far in his MMA career. He will have a massive nine-inch reach advantage come fight night versus Brundage.
Prediction: Dumas wins via KO.
David Onama (+195) vs Gabriel Santos (-230)
Featherweight
It’s Uganda vs. Brazil in this tasty featherweight matchup between Onama and Santos. These are two hungry warriors following their respective defeats in their previous bouts. Onama has a 10-2-0 record, with both his losses coming through decisions. Santos is 10-1-0, with also his only loss being handed via a decision.
Prediction: Onama wins via decision.
Brendan Allen (-165) vs Bruno Silva (+140)
Middleweight
Adding spice to this UFC Fight Night edition is the clash involving Allen and Silva. Allen, who is ranked 13th in the middleweight division has a 21-5-0 record. He only has one loss since he started fighting in the UFC in 2019. Silva, meanwhile, is a knockout artist, whose four victories in the UFC have all come by KOs.
Prediction: Allen wins via submission.
