Grasso will look to defend her women’s flyweight title this weekend against the woman she grabbed the belt from. The 30-year-0ld Mexican warrior scored a stunning upset submission win against Shevchenko last March to become a champion and improve her record to 16-3-0. Shevchenko (23-4-0) definitely can’t wait to face Grasso again, as he wants to prove her loss to Grasso was nothing but a fluke.
Prediction: Shevchenko wins via KO.
Kevin Holland (+124) vs. Jack Della Maddalena (-148)
Welterweight
Holland (25-9-0) is looking to win his third fight in a row to improve his stock in the welterweight division and move closer to a potential title fight in the UFC. That is going to be easier said than done against the red-hot Della Maddalena (15-2-0), who’s on a 15-fight win streak.
Prediction: Della Maddalena wins via KO.
Raul Rosas Jr. (-535) vs. Terrence Mitchell (+400)
Bantamweight
Rosas’ resiliency will be put to the test this weekend after he tasted his first defeat, when he came out on the short end of a unanimous decision during a matchup against Christian Rodriguez last April. Rosas, who has five first-round finishes, owns a 7-1-0 record with five submission wins. Mitchell, meanwhile, suffered a KO loss at the hands of Cameron Saaiman in his first-ever UFC fight back in July. Prior to that, Mitchell (14-3-0) was on an 11-fight win streak.
Prediction: Rosas wins via split decision.
Daniel Zellhuber (-270) vs. Christos Giagos (+220)
Lightweight
After losing his UFC debut at the hands of Trey Ogden, Zellhuber got back up right away and scored a unanimous decision win against Lando Vannata at UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Allen last April. The loss to Ogden is the first and so far only defeat in Zellhuber’s career. He has a 7-0 T/KO record and a 2-0 submission slate. Giagos (20-10-0) also won his most recent bout when he knocked out Ricky Glenn in the first round of their showdown at UFC Fight Night: Pavlovich vs. Blaydes in April. That also earned him his second Performance of the Night honors in the UFC.
Prediction: Zellhuber wins via TKO.
Fernando Padilla (-258) vs. Kyle Nelson (+210)
Featherweight
Padilla won his UFC debut last April, scoring a knockout win against Julian Erosa in just the first round of their fight at UFC Fight Night: Song vs. Simon. The 26-year-old Padilla has a 15-4-0 record. He’s never been knocked out nor submitted so far in his pro-MMA career and also has five KO victories and eight submission wins. Nelson, on the other hand, has been fighting in the UFC since 2018. After three winless fights in a row, Nelson (14-5-1) finally broke out of a slump by beating Blake Bilder last July via unanimous decision.
Prediction: Padilla wins via split decision.
