Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night Featuring Ciryl Gane vs Serghei & Other Big Cards on September 2 2023
Ciryl Gane (-170) vs Serghei Spivac (+142)
Heavyweight
Gane (11-2-0) is on the hunt for a bounce-back win after an ugly loss to Jon Jones last March. Despite that loss, Gane is still ranked as the No. 2 challenger in the heavyweight division. Spivac (16-3-0) remains in search of a title fight which he could come closer to with a win over Gane. Spivac has won all of his last three fights and six of his last seven.
Prediction: Gane wins via unanimous decision.
Manon Fiorot (-185) vs Rose Namajunas (+154)
Women’s Flyweight
Former women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas will test the waters of the flyweight division when she takes on Fiorot in France. Fiorot (10-1-0) is undefeated in five fights in the UFC. Namajunas, who is coming off a title fight loss to Carla Esparza is 12-5-0 in his MMA career overall.
Prediction: Namajunas wins via submission.
Benoît Saint-Denis (-132) vs Thiago Moisés (+136)
Welterweight
After losing his UFC debut in 2021, Saint-Denis (11-1-0) has recovered nicely. He has gone 3-0 since, a stretch that saw him submit Ismael Bonfim last July. He now has a 9-0 submission record to go with a 2-0 T/KO slate. Moisés (17-6-0) enters the Octagon on Saturday following back-to-back submission victories over Melquizael Costa and Melquizael Costa.
Prediction: Saint-Denis wins via split decision.
Volkan Oezdemir (-166) vs Bogdan Guskov (+140)
Light Heavyweight
Oezdemir (18-7-0) will look to raise his profile after going 1-3 in his last four fights. In his most recent outing, he suffered a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Nikita Krylov in October 2022. He will be the first man to test Guskov in the UFC. Guskov (14-2-0) is on a four-fight win streak heading into his UFC debut this coming Saturday.
Prediction: Oezdemir wins via split decision.
William Gomis (-142) vs Lucas Almeida (+120)
Featherweight
French featherweight William Gomis will look to impress in front of his countrymen this weekend against Brazilian Almeida. Gomis is on an 11-fight win streak and is 2-0 so far in the UFC. Almeida, on the other hand, is seeking a comeback victory after losing to Pat Sabatini last June in UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Cannonier.
Prediction: Gomis wins via KO.
Yanis Ghemmouri (+245) vs Caolan Loughran (-305)
Bantamweight
Loughran is undefeated so far in his MMA career, but he will be testing himself inside the Octagon for the first time ever when he faces off against Ghemmouri, who is also making his UFC debut in this fight. Loughran is 8-0-0 with five T/KO wins and two submission victories. Ghemmouri is 12-1 with 3 knockout wins and a 4-1 submission record.
Prediction: Loughran wins via KO.
