dos Anjos is making his second fight in the welterweight division after his decision to move back to the weight class via a fight against Bryan Barbarena last December. The re-introduction to the welterweight division was a success for dos Anjos as he defeated Barbarena via submission in the second round. dos Anjos now has three wins over his last four fights.
The former lightweight champion was absolutely dominant against Barbarena, as he took down his opponent a total of four times and had two submission attempts to zero takedown tries from Barbarena. Speaking of which, dos Anjos is averaging 2.05 takedowns per 15 minutes in the UFC on 35 percent accuracy. He can be pretty vicious with his ground and pound skills, with 16 percent of his significant strikes landed happening when his opponent is on the canvas.
