While the NFL is in its off-season, there are always things happening around the best American football league in the world, so it’s worth keeping an eye on it eventually, so you don’t miss anything.

If you have not done so in recent days, here at JefeBet we show you a review of the most important NFL news that have occurred during the last few hours.

Steelers Fans Call for Stadium Name Change

The Pittsburgh Steelers stadium will change its name after 21 years as Heinz Field, and will be known as Acrisure Stadium for the next 15 years after the franchise reached an agreement with a Michigan company.

This did not seem to be to the liking of the team’s fans and one of them, Daniel Sass, started a petition on Change.org to request that the new name be removed, and it already has more than 5,000 signatures.

Heinz Field is the only sponsored stadium that the team has ever played in. Previously playing at Three Rivers Stadium, Pitt Stadium, and before that, Forbes Field. But now the Heinz Field sponsorship is no more. It’s new name was just announced and it’s HORRIBLE! An out-of-state sponsor comes in and inflicts this name change on us that isn’t even easy to pronounce.

Justin Jefferson Is Very Confident for Next Season

Justin Jefferson has been one of the most pleasant surprises in the NFL since breaking into the league in 2020, and the Minnesota Vikings player has shown no qualms about praising Davante Adams by mentioning that he is “the best wide receiver in the NFL,” but the player thinks that he can be the one who deserves that title after next season.

I’ll say after this year I’ll be the best receiver in the NFL. I definitely have to give it to Davante Adams as of now, him being so crazy and dynamic on the field. His route running is crazy, so I definitely have to give it to him right now, but I’m pretty sure after this year, it’s going to be me.

Since coming to the NFL in 2020, Jefferson amassed a total of 3,016 yards per reception, which is the best record in the league since that year, and he also set a record for a rookie player in his first two seasons. Meanwhile, Davante Adams leads the league in receptions and touchdowns during that same period of time.

Jason McCourty Retires After 13 Seasons

After 13 successful seasons in the NFL, veteran defensive back Jason McCourty has decided to retire from soccer.

The news comes from the 34-year-old himself, who announced his retirement on Instagram after a stint in the NFL that saw him play for the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins, and having won a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots in 2018.

McCourty made just seven appearances in his final season with the Dolphins, although his career had some good moments, especially in 2012 when he intercepted four passes, which will go down as a career best in a single season.
