In what will be their final season in Conference USA before moving to the American Athletic Conference, North Texas will be looking to close out their time in Conference USA on a high note and improve on their 6-6 record from last season.
Head coach Seth Littrell, who is in his sixth season with the university, will have a much more experienced group on the gridiron and oneof the best defensive players in the conference in KD Davis .
Turning to the offense, the offensive line also has NCAA experience and both the air and ground attack could benefit from the solidity it can provide, especially against a defense as tight as the Miners have.

UTEP Miners is also coming off a positive season with a 7-5 record in the 2021-22 season. Under head coach Dana Dimel for the fifth consecutive season, things could improve in the season that begins this Saturday.
The first game will be difficult against a North Texas team that has a strong set of linebackers, but on offense they have seasoned quarterback Gavin Hardison and one of the conference’s finest running backs in Ronald Awatt.
However, the Miners’ forte is their defense, considered by many to be the best in Conference USA, which will have a good test to start the season against a very experienced offensive line like the Mean Green’s.
