Paul Pogba would have reached an agreement with the Italian team to return this summer, according to information from the English newspaper The Guardian.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian, Paul Pogba had a verbal agreement with Juventus to return now that his contract with Manchester United in the Premier League has ended.
The French midfielder’s contract with the English club expired after six seasons, and although rumors placed him in various destinations, it appears that he will return to the club where he played from 2012 to 2016.
A few weeks ago, it was stated that the directives of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain had had communication with Paul Pogba, and some media claimed that the player was closer to the Parisian team.
However, it seems that the economic issue is not what really interests the Frenchman, since with his arrival at the “Vecchia Signora” he is sacrificing a significant amount of money regarding the salary he received in Manchester.
Pogba would join as a free agent and with a salary of 8 million euros per season, not counting bonuses, since those would be the conditions that the Italian team’s board had set for him to return.
His return to Turin would be for 4 years, with the intention of reinforcing Massimiliano Allegri’s team, which has lacked players that do different things in midfield.
Paul Pogba Couldn’t Shine in His Last Season at Manchester United
The 29-year-old Frenchman did not have a good 2021-22 season as he was only able to play 27 games for the Red Devils due to recurring injuries. In that number of games, he recorded just one goal and nine assists.
This was his second spell with the Premier League team, and he was only able to win one title, the English League Cup, also called the EFL Cup, in the 2016-17 season.
The most successful stage of his career was the one he lived with the Turin team, since during four seasons, Paul Pogba accumulated four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia and two other Supercoppa Italiana.
It is said that one always returns to where one was happy, and Pogba will prove this if he wears Juventus’ black and white colors again.
