With just under a month to go before the beginning of the 2022-23 American football season,in Las Vegas, the odds are already in the air and in this edition, JefeBet brings you the favorites to win the NFL Coach of the Year award for the upcoming campaign.

Predictions, Picks, and Betting Preview for the Coach of the Year Race in the NFL 2022-23 Season

10.- Doug Pederson (+1800)

NFL Coach of the Year

After a year away from the NFL, Doug Pederson returns as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars with the mission of returning to the postseason, something they haven’t accomplished since 2017 after finishing in last place in their division. Pederson is a Super Bowl champion who can help a young, but very talented core led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

9.- Josh McDaniels (+1800)

NFL Coach of the Year

In what will be his first head coaching experience since 2010, Josh McDaniels has one of the most feared teams in the circuit at his disposal. The Raiders landed Davante Adams in the preseason and boast of one of the NFL’s most imposing offenses. It is precisely because of that good team that McDaniels is so far down the list, although if the projections come true and Las Vegas passes the regular round test, he is sure to win votes.

8.- Kyle Shanahan (+1800)

NFL Coach of the Year

Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers is one of the toughest teams to analyze for 2022. California has a talented team, but has struggled to close important games. This year, young Trey Lance is expected to be the quarterback, and while his talent is not debatable, we will see how Shanahan handles the situation in a division where they must measure up against the champion Rams and Cardinals.

7.- Sean McDermott (+1800)

NFL Coach of the Year

The Bills enter the season as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. That puts a lot of responsibility on Sean McDermott’s shoulders, something that doesn’t seem to scare him after leading Buffalo back to the postseason the past three seasons. Of course, winning this year in the AFC will be no easy task, but if the Bills can win the division with ease or become conference champions, McDermott should be taken into consideration.

6.- Brian Daboll (+1600)

NFL Coach of the Year

In the NFC East, the Giants seem to have a tough time fighting for a postseason berth. However, Brian Daboll comes from being the Bills’ offensive coordinator the past four seasons and is expected to be able to help improve Daniel Jones. In addition, the Giants were one of the best teams in the last NFL Draft and with some pretty interesting young blood they could trip up the Conference a few times.

5.- Mike McDaniel (+1600)

NFL Coach of the Year

Expectations for Mike McDaniel, in his first NFL head coaching experience, are quite high. After being the 49ers Offensive Coordinator last season, he comes to a Dolphins that was very aggressive during the preseason, with their star signing being Tyreek Hill. Miami is hoping McDaniel can lead a young, but talented group of players to the postseason despite being in the tough AFC East.

4.- Nathaniel Hackett (+1600)

NFL Coach of the Year

What a first season Nathaniel Hackett will have as head coach. After eight seasons of experience as Offensive Coordinator for the Jaguars and Packers, Hackett comes to the Broncos alongside Russell Wilson and leads them into the NFL’s toughest division in the AFC West next season. In fact, the incredibly talented Denver team is dead last in the betting within the division. And that’s a reason more than enough to fight for NFL Coach of the Year if he has a good result.

3.- Kevin O’Connell (+1600)

NFL Coach of the Year

Another first-year head coach who is among the Vegas favorites to win the award. While Kevin O’Connell doesn’t appear to have the same talent as those before him, the Vikings want to fight the Packers for the NFC North and a good performance could give the former Rams Offensive Coordinator who won the Super Bowl last season a chance.

2.- Dan Campbell (+1600)

NFL Coach of the Year

While the Lions are not aiming for postseason play this season, Detroit is hoping to improve on last year’s 3-13-1 record with an exciting core of players. All of them will be under Dan Campbell’s command, the head coach who is going to his second experience with the organization and who, despite his negative record in 2021, left quite positive sensations. Improving in the NFC North and spoiling the party for some teams, Campbell could fight for votes for the award.

1.- Brandon Staley (+1400)

NFL Coach of the Year

The expectations for Brandon Staley’s Chargers are enormous. With a great defensive investment during the preseason, the Los Angeles team has a lot of talent on both sides of the field and are favorites not only to reach the postseason but to reach and win the Super Bowl. Last year they were knocked out on the last day and despite the fact that in 2022 they will be playing in the AFC West, the toughest in the league, with the squad they have they should have no excuse to perform well under Staley.
