With just under a month to go before the 2022-23 American football season kicks off in Las Vegas, the odds are already in the air and in this edition JefeBet brings you the betting favorites to finish as the NFL receiving yards leader of the upcoming campaign.
Predictions, Picks, and Betting Preview for the Receiving Leader Race in the NFL 2022-23 Season
10.- Deebo Samuel (+2500)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
San Francisco 49ers | 26 | 1405 |
Last season Deebo Samuel had his breakout year on the circuit with an outstanding performance with the 49ers, one that earned him a multimillion-dollar contract extension and finished fifth in receiving yards with 1,405.
The receiver has the talent to be among the leaders, although the question mark hanging over him this year is how rookie quarterback Trey Lance will perform.
Mike Evans (+2000)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 29 | 1035 |
Since 2014 Mike Evans has been an indomitable yardage machine through the air and in the upcoming campaign, again under Tom Brady, the receiver could finally claim his first lead in the category.
In each of his eight seasons in the league he has recorded at least 1,000 yards and 2018 was where he came closest to being the leader in NFL receiving yards when he finished third with 1,524.
8.- Tyreek Hill (+1800)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Miami Dolphins | 28 | 1239 |
If he were still with the Chiefs, Tyreek Hill would probably be better positioned in Las Vegas. However, while no one doubts the quality of the receiver, there is a lot of intrigue about how Tua Tagovailoa will perform in 2022 and whether he will be able to connect well with what is considered the fastest wide receiver in the circuit.
Hill totaled at least 1,000 air yards in four of his first six seasons with Patrick Mahomes.
7.- Travis Kelce (+1600)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Kansas City Chiefs | 32 | 1125 |
Anyone impressed to see Travis Kelce on the list? If the answer is yes, then the Chiefs tight end has a chance to finish what he started in 2020, when he came within 120 yards of being the NFL receiving yards leader that season.
With the departure of Tyreek Hill, coupled with the quality that has led him to record at least a thousand yards through the air in the last six seasons, the tight end will surely be Patrick Mahomes’ number one target.
6.- Stefon Diggs (+1400)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Buffalo Bills | 28 | 1225 |
It was Stefon Diggs, with 1,535 yards, who surpassed Kelce in 2020 for the NFL receiving yards lead. The Bills’ wide receiver is set to be the team’s number one receiver and an important piece to help Josh Allen in the offense.
Buffalo is one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl and what the wide receiver, who has four straight seasons with at least a thousand yards through the air, can do will be of vital importance to them.
5.- Davante Adams (+1200)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Las Vegas Raiders | 29 | 1553 |
It seems unbelievable that Davante Adams doesn’t have his hands on an NFL season’s most air yards leader.
The new Las Vegas Raiders receiver is considered one of the best at his position due to his athleticism, physicality, and ability to receive the ball in unthinkable places. This year, with Dereck Carr as his running mate, Adams will look to do what he could never do alongside Aaron Rodgers despite totaling at least 1,000 yards through the air in three of his last four campaigns.
4.- CeeDee Lamb (+1100)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Dallas Cowboys | 23 | 1102 |
The Cowboys’ first pick in the 2020 Draft goes into his third NFL season on a mission to continue improving his records. After totaling 935 yards through the air in his rookie year, last season he increased his total to 1,102 and for the upcoming campaign it is expected that this number could be much higher alongside Dak Prescott.
Dallas’ offensive line continues to be above average, and being the number one receiver corps bodes well for him.
3.- Ja’Marr Chase (+1100)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Cincinnati Bengals | 22 | 1455 |
In just his second season on the circuit, the Bengals’ receiver is one of the favorites in Las Vegas to be the NFL receiving yards leader.
Pairing with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase finished fourth in the category last year with 1,455 yards through the air and 13 touchdowns, more than enough to earn the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award. So, with a re-powered Cincinnati offensive line and Burrow by his side, Chase should not drop his records.
2.- Cooper Kupp, WR (+900)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Los Angeles Rams | 29 | 1947 |
Of course. It seems that Las Vegas isn’t sure Cooper Kupp can repeat last season’s performance alongside Matthew Stafford.
The Rams receiver, who was the MVP of the Super Bowl won by his team, won the 2022 triple crown of receivers and was the leader in NFL receiving yards, with a total of 1,947, the second-highest number in history behind Calvin Johnson’s 1,964 in 2012.
Last season’s Offensive Player of the Year has totaled at least 1,000 yards through the air in two of his last three seasons, and doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
1.- Justin Jefferson, WR (+800)
Team | Age | Yards in the previous season |
Minnesota Vikings | 23 | 1616 |
It is no coincidence that Justin Jefferson is the favorite in Las Vegas to dethrone Cooper Kupp. While in 2020 the Vikings’ receiver was fourth in the NFL receiving yards leader category with 1,400, last year he finished second with 1,616, second only to Kupp’s monster performance.
The runner-up in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting a couple of seasons ago has paired well with Kirk Cousins and 2022 could be his breakthrough season.
