Major changes keep happening at Paris Saint Germain for next season, as PSG has already set its sights on a new coach to manage Mbappé, Neymar, Messi and the rest of the team, to achieve that long-awaited Champions League.

Christophe Galtier would be the new PSG coach

With the renewal of Kylian Mbappé’s contract and his assured future at the club, PSG announced the dismissal of current coach Mauricio Pochettino. Although the coach’s departure has not yet been formally confirmed due to issues with compensation outlined in his contract, PSG has already found a possible replacement.

We’re talking about Christophe Galtier, the current coach of OGC Nice in Ligue 1, and who spent his first year in charge after joining the club from Lille in 2021, a team with which he managed to make a splash and win the league title in France.

Should Galtier make it to the Parisian squad, it would be his first experience with a “big” team; the 55-year-old French manager previously managed Saint-Étienne for eight long years before spells with Lille and Nice, both of which were quite satisfactory and made him widely known not only in France, but also in international football.

PSG is not only attempting to appoint Christophe Galtier as manager as soon as possible, but it is also working on its first purchases in this transfer window, one of which will undoubtedly appeal to their new coach.

One of them is Renato Sanches, a Portuguese midfielder who was already under Galtier’s orders at Lille and who has established himself as one of the most important young players in his position in Ligue 1 after an unsuccessful period at Bayern Munich.

The other signing is taken into account to reinforce the rear of the Parisian team: we’re talking about the Slovak Milan Skriniar, a central defender who has been the object of desire of big clubs in Europe in recent years, and who would come to join Marquinhos in the center after Sergio Ramos’s hiring did not go as expected.

Undoubtedly, this will be a busy pre-season at the Paris Saint-Germain offices.
