Real Madrid and Barcelona will face off in another edition of El Clásico de España in the United States, as part of the Soccer Champions Tour.

The Sin City will host the second Spanish Classic, Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, on American soil in a historic date for both teams. The only previous instance occurred on July 30, 2017 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, and it has been five years since then.

The Spanish teams were invited to participate in the Soccer Champions Tour, a summer tournament that will bring together the two best teams in La Liga from Spain, Juventus from Italy and the two most popular teams from Liga MX, América and Chivas.

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona will be played on Saturday, July 23 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, a venue that has been the home of the NFL Raiders for a couple of years.

However, that will not be the only match that will be played in Las Vegas, since on Friday, July 22, the tournament will open with Juventus vs. Chivas, also at the Allegiant Stadium.

On July 26, Real Madrid will face América at Oracle Park in San Francisco, and Barcelona will face Juventus at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas.

The tournament will close on Saturday, July 30, with Real Madrid vs. Juventus at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles. It is well known that these teams have a large following in the United States, which is why organizations look for summer breaks to capitalize on this.

When Barcelona and Madrid met in Miami, just over 66,000 fans gathered at the Hard Rock Stadium and witnessed Barça’s 3-2 victory.

Before 2017, the protagonists of the Spanish Clásico had not faced each other outside of their country in 35 years, thus it was no surprise that the fans reacted positively. Real Madrid has only scheduled the three matches of the Soccer Champions Tour in its preseason in the American union.

The Catalan team, on the other hand, will face two MLS teams in addition to their matches on the Soccer Champions Tour. On July 19 they will play against Inter Miami and on July 30 they will face the New York Red Bulls.
