He is also widely considered a pound-for-pound rising star, and what better way for him to win even more respect than by conquering a new weight class by beating De Los Santos? Stevenson is known to possess great defensive acumen, but he’s also quick with his punches and can be even quicker when it comes to dodging counterattacks.

De Los Santos knows this fight against Stevenson will be the big ticket he has been waiting for all his life. He has never fought in a true world title fight, but he’s riding on a serious momentum. Since losing to William Foster III via split decision — his only defeat so far in his career — back in 2022, De Los Santos has picked himself up and won three bouts in a row.
Two of those victories were via knockouts against Luis Acosta and Jose Valenzuela, while the other was a unanimous win against Joseph Adorno back in July of this year. It is also worth mentioning that Acosta and Valenzuela were both undefeated when they entered the ring to take on De Los Santos. Perhaps losing to Foster served De Los Santos for the better, as that seemingly made the Dominican fighter a savvier and more aware individual inside the ring.
