Matchday 5 of the Chilean Primera Division became memorable, as another of the newly promoted teams, Deportivo Magallanes, achieved its first victory. The team defeated Unión Española away by a score of 1-2, ending a four-game winless streak, and leaving the Hispanic team as the only winless team so far this season.
Thomas Jones gave Magallanes the lead before the end of the first half of the match, and in the second half, an own goal by Luis Pavez widened the gap between the two teams. Ignacio Núñez scored a goal for the Santa Laura team in the added time to seal the match with a 1-2 score.
Coquimbo Unido 1-2 Huachipato

Audax Italiano 1-2 Universidad Católica
Audax Italiano did not take advantage of playing at home, and ended up losing 1-2 to Universidad Católica over the weekend. This is the third win of the season for the Cruzados, a win that was very important for the team as it shortened the gap with Huachipato, who leads the standings.
The Florida side scored the first goal in the 36th minute, made by Gonzalo Ríos, and took the lead at the end of the first half of the match. However, Católica improved its strategy, and with goals from Eugenio Mena in the 60th minute and Cristian Cuevas in the 82nd minute, the team got the three points.
O’Higgins 0-1 Universidad de Chile
O’Higgins continues to have no middle ground this season, and it recently suffered its second defeat by a score of 0-1 against Universidad de Chile. This is the third victory for the U and with it, the team is now positioned in the top four of the standings.
The match was very tight, and it remained tied throughout the 90 minutes, but in the added time, Leandro Fernández broke the deadlock to make it 1-0.

The blow was hard for the team from Viña del Mar, but the break served the team to get onto the field with new ideas, and thanks to a goal by Alejandro Henriquez in the 48th minute, it managed to even the game. Palestino 1-1 Unión La Calera
