Now that the shock of being out of the World Cup – for the second consecutive time – has passed, Italy is continuing its generational renewal plan with a view to 2026. The European champions have undergone some changes in the last few days ahead of the clash with England.
Lorenzo Pellegrini and Matteo Politano dropped out of the Azzurri squad due to various injuries, adding to the absence of PSG’s Marco Verrati.
