Palestino played several friendly matches in the run-up to the start of the 2023 Chilean soccer season. Last week, the team closed their preparation with two matches of 60 minutes each against Rosario Central from Argentina, which ended in a 0-0 and a 1-1 score, respectively.
The highlight of this period without official competition is the return of central defender Fernando Meza who is 32 years old, and who already wore the shirt of Palestino between 2015 and 2016.
