Day 5 of the Apertura 2022 of Liga MX had a double date, with eight matches played between Tuesday, July 26, and Wednesday, July 27. The teams at the top of the overall standings continue to do well to stay there, while some of those that tried to improve did not manage to achieve positive results.

However, we were able to witness good games where emotions and goals were present. A total of 14 goals were scored, the lowest scoring quota so far this season. Six teams remained scoreless, and only one of the eight games played ended 0-0.

We know that goals are the essence and joy of soccer, so here at JefeBet, we selected for you the best 5 goals from the Day 5 of the Apertura 2022.

Best Goals Liga MX – Day 5 of the Apertura 2022

Hugo Nervo – Atlas

Argentine defender Hugo Nervo opened the scoring in the Atlas vs. Tijuana match. His goal could not prevent Atlas from losing (1-2), but it was one of the best goals scored during midweek. After a corner kick, Nervo took a great header and sent the ball into the back of the net.

Sebastián Pérez Bouquet – Guadalajara

Chivas’ young player, Sebastián Pérez Bouquet, had a dream match in the 2-2 draw against Querétaro. He scored the first goal of the match, which was his first goal with the Rebaño. But in addition to the special meaning for him, the goal was one of the best goals of Day 5. He received a pass from Alexis Vega meters outside the area, controlled the ball, shook off an opponent, and shot into the goal to make it 0-1.

André-Pierre Gignac – Tigres

For the second consecutive match, the French striker, André-Pierre Gignac, collaborated with a goal to help Tigres add another three points. He scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over Juárez. He found the ball on his way into the box and did not hesitate to kick it straight at the goal. But his shot hit an opponent, causing the direction to change and preventing the goalkeeper from doing anything to prevent the goal.

Renato Ibarra – Tijuana

Ecuadorian soccer player Renato Ibarra was the architect of the goal with which Tijuana turned the score around to beat Atlas, 1-2, at the Jalisco Stadium in Day 5. Once again, he showed off his good punch and delighted us with a truly amazing goal. He received the ball, saw that he had space and dared to take a powerful right-footed shot.

Daniel Álvarez – Toluca

The best goal of the day in midweek was scored by Daniel “Fideo” Álvarez. The match between León and Toluca remained 0-0 until the 89th minute, when Álvarez found himself with the ball in the box, managed to deceive the defender, waited for the bounce and shot to give the “Diablos Rojos” a 1-0 victory.
