Trevor Bauer, pitcher for Los Angeles Dodgers was accused of sexual assault by a woman, and now he is the one who has sued her for defamation.
The baseball player’s name has been on everyone’s lips lately and not exactly for anything related to baseball. Trevor Bauer has been accused of sexual assault by a woman form Sand Diego, but the lawsuit did not proceed, as prosecutors did not file charges against him.
When everything seemed to be at peace for the Dodgers player, his name was mentioned again in connection with this lawsuit. However, on this occasion, he is the one who made the decision to sue the woman.
On Monday, he went to federal court to file the defamation suit. The discomfort of Trevor Bauer is evident after that the woman accused him of beating and sexually abusing her in 2021.
Bauer did not deny having sexual relations with the woman, but said he said never hit her. The pitcher has said on several occasions that everything that happened between the two was consensual on the nights they were together and that if they had rough sex it was at her suggestion.
What Are the Details of Trevor Bauer’s Complaint?
In the lawsuit Trevor Bauer has just filed, it is revealed that the woman wanted to seek him out again for a new sexual encounter.
“After their first sexual encounter, Ms. Hill continued to pursue Mr. Bauer (…). Unbeknownst to Mr. Bauer, who believed that Ms. Hill was just expressing her sexual preferences, Ms. Hill’s goal was to lure Mr. Bauer into having a rougher sexual experience so that she could later claim this sexual experience was not what she requested and thereby lay the groundwork for a financial settlement,” so quotes the lawsuit Bauer pressed in U.S. District Court in California.
It adds that the woman’s goal was to destroy Trevor Bauer’s bandwagon: “She wanted to destroy Mr. Bauer’s reputation and baseball career, garner attention for herself, and extract millions of dollars.”
This is not the first lawsuit filed by the baseball player, since in March he filed another defamation lawsuit against The Athletic and a former reporter, accusing them of “creating and spreading false information”, since in one article, they claimed that Trevor Bauer fractured the woman’s skull.
Another Administrative Leave for Trevor Bauer
Bauer was placed on administrative leave on July 2, 2021 under the joint domestic violence and sexual assault policy of MLB and the players’ association.
The license has been repeatedly extended and currently expires this Friday, April 29.
