Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night Featuring Nassourdine Imavov vs Kelvin Gastelum and Other Big Cards on January 14 2023
Nassourdine Imavov (-225) vs Kelvin Gastelum (+175)
Middleweight
Nassourdine Imavov will look to extend his streak of three straight wins against a Kelvin Gastelum who did not fight last year and is in desperate need of a win after losing five of his last six fights. The difference in height of the French-based Russian could be crucial: he is 1.95 m, 20 cm taller than the American.
Prediction: Imamov wins by KO.
Dan Ige (-127) vs Damon Jackson (+102)
Featherweight
Damon Jackson has won all four of his fights in Dana White’s company so far, while Dan Ige is free-falling: in mid-2020, he amassed a six-fight winning streak, but since then he went downhill and lost four of his last fights. This fight will be the co-main event of the evening.
Prediction: Jackson wins by unanimous decision.
Punahele Soriano (-167) vs Roman Kopylov (+135)
Middleweight
In this case, we have the ideal fight in which two men with similar realities, who have knocked out in their last engagement, will fight against each other. Soriano, born in Hawaii, is coming off of knocking out Dalcha Lungiambula in July (the fight was chosen performance of the night), after two consecutive losses. Russia’s Kopylov, meanwhile, is coming off a big KO against Alessio Di Chiricco, who also snapped a two-fight losing streak.
Prediction: Soriano wins by unanimous decision.
Ketlen Vieira (-112) vs Raquel Pennington (-112)
Bantamweight
This will be a high-flying duel with two of the best representatives of the bantamweight category. On the one hand, Ketlen Vieira, Brazilian and ranked 2nd, will seek her third consecutive victory against the dangerous Raquel Pennington who, on the other hand, is ranked 5th and has a four-fight streak without losing.
Prediction: Vieira wins by split decision.
Umar Nurmagomedov (-670) vs Raoni Barcelos (+480)
Bantamweight
Nurmagomedov is undefeated both since his arrival in UFC (3-0) and since he took up mixed martial arts at the professional level: he has a record of 15 wins and not a single loss. He will star in the first fight of the main card against Brazilian Raoni Barcelos, whose career was on the rise until two losses halted his momentum. In his last fight in October, he bounced back with a win.
Prediction: Nurmagomedov wins by submission.
