Bruno Silva vs. Gerald Meerschaert is the bout in the middleweight (185 lbs.) bout on the UFC which features Marlon Vera vs Dominick Cruz as the main event this Saturday, August 13, in San Diego.

The Brazilian fighter has less experience than the American due to the number of fights they both have in their professional careers. The physique both have is quite similar, although the American is two centimeters taller. Silva is 33 and Meerschaert is 34, so we won’t see much disparity.

The fight in the octagon promises to be a spectacle, mainly because both mixed martial arts specialists are coming off losses in their last performances. Silva lost to Alex Pereira by unanimous decision on March 12, while Meerchaert lost to Krzysztof Jotko, also by unanimous decision.
