One of the most consistent cornerbacks of recent seasons will see action for a third season in the Ravens’ stout defense. Marcus Peters, the 2015 Defensive Rookie of the Year with the Chiefs, that same season finished as the NFL leader in interceptions by recording eight.
From then on, he has never failed to score less than three, and in total, after 91 games played in the league, he has accumulated 31 intercepted passes.

The Bills’ experienced depth has positioned himself as one of the league’s best in recent years and by 2022, on a team that promises to go far, he is set to be an important part of the defense. In eight of his nine seasons in the league, he has at least one interception, and last year he was the team’s co-leader with five to his name.

The Broncos have high hopes, as well as Las Vegas, that Patrick Surtain will have a pretty good second season on “The High Mile.”
The first-round pick during the 2021 Draft did not perform poorly in his rookie year by collecting four interceptions in 16 commitments. However, the cornerback’s credentials project him to do much better for the upcoming season.
7.- Quandre Diggs (+2000)

On a team beginning a restructuring this season, Quandre Diggs should be one of the pillars of the Seahawks defense. The cornerback has been called to the Pro-Bowl the last two years by intercepting five balls each year, while adding five consecutive seasons with at least three interceptions to his record.

Considered to be the best corner today, Jalen Ramsey is not known for being a great ovoid interceptor, which is why he is not among the main favorites to lead the category. The Rams’ player has 15 interceptions after 91 games played in the NFL, as his greatest quality is to get in the way of opponents and block passes from quarterbacks.

The Broncos have a great defense and the presence of Justin Simmons is one of the reasons for that. The deep receiver has a total of 21 interceptions in 91 games played in the NFL and could be in the running for the title of NFL leader in interceptions if we take into account that, since he came to the circuit, he has never recorded less than two catches of ovoids thrown by opponents.

If Justin Simmons is good, Kevin Byard, as the Titans’ depth player, is spectacular. The 29-year-old already knows what it’s like to lead the NFL in interceptions when he topped the category with eight in 2017. In addition, in four of his six seasons in the league, he had at least four interceptions.

The spectacular thing about J.C. Jackson is that, without being a natural cornerback, he fulfills this role perfectly. The Chargers’ player comes in second in the interception department over the past two seasons, recording nine and eight, respectively.
After 62 games played, 39 of them as a starter, he has 25 pass interceptions, and it does not look like this performance will slow down in 2022.

Trevon Diggs revolutionized the NFL last season with a spectacular performance as a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys. The second-round pick in the 2020 Draft led the NFL in receptions by grabbing 11 in 16 games played, as well as leading the league in yards and touchdowns gained after an interception with 142 and 2, respectively.

Last April, the Dolphins signed Xavier Howard to one of the largest extensions in history for a cornerback after the player’s superlative performance during his first six seasons in the league.
Twice, the 29-year-old has finished as the NFL leader in interceptions by totaling seven in 2018 and 10 in 2020, with the latter campaign being the one in which he finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
