The Bulldogs maintained their dominance in the circuit with a 39-22 win over Kent State, while the Tigers suffered a painful 14-17 overtime loss to Auburn.

Betting on the Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia vs Missouri Predictions Picks Betting Odds
  • Season record: 4-0.
  • Spread: -29.0 .
  • Moneyline from BetMGM: (-10000).
  • Over/Under: 54.5

The Bulldogs are the heavy favorites to repeat as national champs, and they are well on their way as they look for their sixth consecutive 5-0 season start.

Although they allowed more than 10 points to an opponent for the first time against Kent State, Georgia’s defense is considered Top-3 in the nation and should have no problem against a Missouri offense that has been fairly inconsistent this year. While the Golden Flashes scored 22 goals, Georgia’s defense is still averaging just eight points scored per game.

The offense is the Bulldogs’ “weak” flank when compared to the defense. And we put weak in quotation marks, since they averaged 43 points each game in their first four games. The goal for Georgia is to establish a balance between the air and ground assault, which its quarterback, Stetson Bennett, can undoubtedly supply: he has racked up five touchdowns via the air and four on the ground so far this year.

Betting on the Missouri Tigers

Georgia vs Missouri Predictions Picks Betting Odds
  • Season record: 2-2.
  • Unibet Spread: +29.0 .
  • Moneyline: (+1600).
  • Over/Under: 54.5

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they come into the game against Georgia with an even record after missing a great opportunity to go up 3-1 against Auburn.

In that game, the problem was once again the inconsistency of the offense, which despite averaging 28 points per game hasn’t scored more than 20 in its two losses. These issues cannot be duplicated against a defense like Georgia’s, and they are unlikely to have as many opportunities to waste as they did against Auburn.

Through the first four weeks of play, the Tigers have done a better job defensively, conceding 24.5 points on average. As we already mentioned, Georgia’s offense is their weakest side and this could be Missouri’s only way to pull off an upset.

JefeBet Prediction

Yes, Missouri’s defense has been solid this season, but their offense doesn’t have enough tools to back them up against Georgia with a good amount of points. The Bulldogs have an offense that is capable of producing against the Tigers’ good defense, not to mention a defense that will likely not give them much leeway.

Prediction: Georgia Spread.
