Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals
- Season record: 2-2.
- BetMGM Spread: +3.0.
- Moneyline: (+145).
- Over/Under: 48.5
Following two painful three-point losses to the Steelers and Cowboys, the Bengals have employed their AFC Championship-winning methods to rebound this season.
Joe Burrow and company dominated the Jets before overwhelming the Dolphins last week thanks to a great quarterback effort. The team has totaled 562 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions in the last two games, but they have only been caught three times, compared to 13 in the first two weeks.
Against Baltimore, Burrow has a good chance to continue racking up yards, as they are the only team in the league with more than 300 yards through the air allowed per game (315.3).
On defense, they allowed 15 or fewer touchdowns for the second straight game and have only given up more than 100 yards on the ground once. That’s very important against a Baltimore team that has two consecutive weeks of rushing for more than 100 yards. The Bengals have also made a point of recovering the ball by forcing six turnovers in the last two weeks.
Betting on the Baltimore Ravens
- Season record: 2-2.
- BetMGM Spread: -3.0.
- Moneyline: (-175).
- Over/Under: 48.5
The Ravens’ season has been a roller coaster ride from heaven to hell in just a few minutes, as they blew big leads in their two losses.
In Week 2, they let a 14-point deficit slip away against the Dolphins by conceding 28 touchdowns in the final period, while against the Bills last week they were up by 10 after the first half and ended up losing. All this for a defense that, although it’s among the top in fumbles recovered with 10, is the worst in the league defending the aerial attack. Now, they must face one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
On offense, Lamar Jackson appears to be returning to MVP form; unfortunately, against Buffalo, he failed to total more than 200 yards for the first time this season and threw two interceptions, resulting in his team failing to score a single point in the second half. The Ravens have scored at least 20 touchdowns in each of their previous games, but must guard the ball against a good Cincinnati defense.
JefeBet Prediction
The battle for first place in the division won’t be decided by only a few points. In fact, we all expect this game to be a touchdown fest from two of the best quarterbacks in the league in Jackson and Burrow.
Only once have the Bengals scored less than 20 points and with the Ravens’ poor aerial defense, it is unlikely that this will happen again. For its part, Baltimore doesn’t know what it’s like to score less than two dozen points this year.
Prediction: Over (CIN 30 – BAL 26).
