Week 6 of the NFL has already kicked off with Thursday Night Football, but the Pittsburgh Steelers will not see action until Sunday when they will try to escape from last place in the American Conference North Division, where they sit with a 1-4 record, although facing a Super Bowl favorite such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make this task complicated.

The schedule is not offering the Steelers a break, who faced the Buffalo Bills last week, predictably losing by a score of 38-3, which was their fourth consecutive loss, and could register a fifth the way things are looking. At JefeBet we present you the Pittsburgh Steelers odds for their next commitment, as well as their future bets for this NFL 2022 season compared to the previous week.

Predictions, Odds and Betting Preview for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6 of the 2022 NFL Season

Moneyline (+340 from BetMGM)

Another week, and again the Pittsburgh Steelers are starting a game as an underdog. This should come as no surprise, as they are one of the worst teams in this NFL season, as evidenced by their record and their position in their division.

The last three games Pittsburgh played as an underdog ended in defeat, and it would not be unusual for this to be the case again.

Spread (+9.5 from BetMGM)

The huge difference in quality between the two teams means that the Steelers have a high spread of +9.5 for this game, and the sportsbooks have not been wrong about them lately.

During the past week, the Steelers had a spread of +14, and even if they had had a spread twice as high they would not have been able to cover it. That was the fourth consecutive game in which Pittsburgh failed to cover its spread, and while they won their last two meetings against Tampa Bay, it doesn’t look like it will be the occasion this time.

Over/Under (46.0 from BetMGM)

The Bills almost covered the over by themselves in their Week 5 matchup against the Steelers, which was at about 46.5 points, and it may be a similar scenario for this game.

Pittsburgh is the third-worst offense in the league in terms of average points per game, averaging just 15.4, and faces a Buccaneers team that allows the sixth-fewest points on average (16.6).

In addition, only one of Tampa Bay’s five games this regular season had more than 46.0 points, although this has not been the case in any of Pittsburgh’s appearances to date.

Pittsburgh Steelers Future Odds

Over/Under wins in the season: Over 4.5 (-130 by DraftKings) / Under 4.5 (-110 by DraftKings)

Once again, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win total for the season has changed and is getting lower and lower. During Week 5 it was at 5.5, and now it’s down to 4.5 on DraftKings.

With this game pending against Tampa Bay, and with Miami and Philadelphia being their next opponents before their bye in Week 9, it seems tricky for the Steelers to add a second win soon, so this total could well stay there for several weeks – and we wouldn’t rule out further down either!

AFC North Champions (+3300 from BetMGM)

What does not go down is their odds to win the division, which increased from +3000 to +3300, so sportsbooks rate as almost impossible for them to win the American Conference North pennant despite the fact that only one win separates them from second and third place.

However, we have already mentioned the tough schedule ahead, and the way the team is playing does not inspire confidence to see their losing trend reversed soon.

AFC Champions (+15000 from BetMGM)

If winning the division seems complicated, what will be left of winning the American Conference? Only the Texans have less chance of achieving this than the Steelers according to the sportsbooks, and they already need to qualify for the postseason to achieve this goal, something that already seems complicated.

Because of this, their odds for this bet rose from +10000 to +15000 compared to the previous week, and it is believed that they will continue to rise.

Steelers win Super Bowl (+30000 from BetMGM)

Do you have any loose change? How about betting on the Steelers to win the Super Bowl? After the odds on this bet increased from +20000 to +30000 in just one week, a single dollar in favor of Pittsburgh could turn into $300.

Is this likely to happen? Well, of course not, but there are people who throw money at fountains, and at least throwing a dollar at the Steelers gives you a minuscule – really minuscule – chance of recouping the investment.
