Betting on the New York Giants
Despite remaining as one of the wild cards in the National Conference, the Giants are coming off probably their worst game of the campaign and must now visit the Cowboys in the battle for second place in the division.
On offense, the Giants surpassed 400 total yards for the second time this season, but that production was overshadowed by three turnovers. Something very strange for a team that was second in the league with the least amount of lost ovids and that faced one of the worst defenses in the circuit. Those fumbles were the difference in New York’s loss, as two of the three ended in touchdowns when they were lost inside their own 40-yard line. There was little the Giants’ defense could do to prevent those touchdowns despite being the second-best defending team in the red zone. Against Dallas, they will have to work hard considering that they are tied for sixth among the teams that allow the most yards per play with an average of 5.8.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys quickly shook off the painful loss to the Packers with a crushing win over the Vikings that puts them second in the NFC East.
For the second time in the last three games, the Dallas offense scored at least 40 points thanks to a great performance by Dak Prescott, who threw 22 complete passes in 25 games and recorded 276 yards with two touchdowns. Ezekiel Elliott returned in style with two TDs on the ground and the Cowboys now rank as the eighth team with the most points scored in the championship with 251.
The best part comes on the defensive side, as the Cowboys allowed less than six points for the second time in the last four games played. Minnesota’s high-powered offense was barely able to add a field goal and 183 total yards against a defense that continues to lead in sacks by adding seven more to its tally to reach 42. In addition, they are third in allowing the fewest yards per play with an average of 4.8 and second in net yards per pass with just 4.9.

Thursday’s matchup will not only define who will be in sole possession of the second place in the division, but which team will remain on the Eagles’ heels. For this reason, it is expected to be a very close and tight match, which is typical of every meeting between these two group rivals.
