Marvin Vettori (-140) vs Jared Cannonier (+120)

Middleweight

UFC Fight Night Predictions, Picks, Odds, Preview | June 17 2023

Vettori is aiming for consistency this coming weekend. Since losing to Israel Adesanya in a title fight back in 2021, Vettori has gone 2-1, though, he has not won those two bouts consecutively. In his most recent fight, he scored a unanimous decision victory over Roman Dolidze just last March. All of his last six fights have also gone the distance. Cannonier is already 39 years old, but he’s still got it. After losing to Adensanya in his own try to win a title, he defeated Sean Strickla nd last December, via split decision.

Prediction: Vettori wins via KO.

Arman Tsarukyan (-1050) vs Joaquim Silva (+700)

Lightweight

It’s going to be an Armenia vs Brazil battle inside the Octagon when Tsarukyan and Silva meet at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. Tsarukyan, who defeated Damir Ismagulov last December via unanimous decision, will enjoy a three-inch reach advantage over Silva, but the latter is not going to be intimidated by that, as he’s one who loves to brawl. Silva has seven wins via knockouts. S

Prediction: Tsarukyan wins via unanimous decision.

Armen Petrosyan (+125) vs Christian Duncan (-145)

Middleweight

Another Armenian on the card is Petrosyan, who will be shooting for another win following a successful bout last October against AJ Dobson (unanimous decision). Petrosyan is averaging 5.99 strikes landed per minute, while it’s just 4.82 for Duncan.  He is also taller by an inch than Duncan. However, the 27-year-old English fighter will have a massive eight-inch advantage over Petrosyan.

Prediction: Duncan wins via KO.

Pat Sabatini (-190) vs Lucas Almeida (+160)

Featherweight

Sabatini is raring to get back inside the Octagon after seeing his six-fight win streak get snapped in a knockout loss at the hands of Damon Jackson last September. The Team Renzo Gracie Philly fighter is a submission specialist. He has 10 wins by way of submissions and is averaging 3.75 takedowns per 15 mins in the UFC. Almeida is not too shabby himself, as he only has a loss in 15 career fights. All his wins did not go the distance, with nine through knockouts and five via submissions.

Prediction: Almeida wins via knockout.

Manuel Torres (odds) vs Nikolas Motta (odds)

Lightweight

Torres is feeling it. He extended his win streak to four fights after knocking out Frank Camacho back in May 2022. Over a year since that victory, Torres hopes to sustain his form. He is a quality striker and a very able fighter on the ground, as evidenced by his 6-0 KO record and 6-2 submission ledger. He is a relentless striker with 10.5 strikes landed per minute. Motta is not much of a ground fighter as Torres, but he can slug it out with the best of them standing up. He has nine KO wins, including in his last fight when he took down Cameron VanCamp in just the first round.

Prediction: Torres wins via submission.

Raoni Barcelos (odds) vs Miles Johns (odds)

Bantamweight

There is some real sense of urgency for Barcelos. He can’t afford to lose another fight if he wants to move up the rankings and get some title fight attention down the road. He has lost three of his last four fights, including last January’s KO defeat against Umar Nurmagomedov. That said, both those losses were via decisions, showing that endurance isn’t going to be a problem for him. Johns won his last fight against Vince Morales (unanimous decision) back in November. He is 3-1 in his last four bouts.

Prediction: Barcelos wins via decision.
