Geno Smith and the Seahawks got stunned at home by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, as Seattle surely didn’t look it had IT during its 30-13 loss to Matthew Stafford and company. Geno Smith went only 16/26 for 112 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions. No Seahawks player had more than four receptions, with DK Metcalf leading the team with 47 receiving yards and a touchdown on three catches and five targets. Could it be better this coming Sunday for Seattle?
That remains to be seen, but Pete Carroll was honest about his team falling short in so many ways against the Rams. Still, the Seahawks can be pretty dangerous on offense when it gets going. The trio of Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba can be expected to put together a deadlier performance against the Lions’ defense that did not deal with great receiving talent in Week 1, as the Kansas City Chiefs missed their best weapon and deployed an underwhelming crew downfield.

The Lions pulled off a big surprise in Week 1 that left the entire NFL on Detroit alert. That was after the Lions defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium no less to the tune of a 21-20 score.
Quarterback Jared Goff passed for 253 yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 22/35 completions. Josh Reynolds came out of nowhere and led the Lions with 80 receiving yards on four catches while Amon-Ra St. Brown had 71 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions. Those two might come up with bigger numbers in Week 2 against the Seahawks, who got embarrassed by wide receivers many casual NFL fans might not even have heard prior to the season in Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua.
