The Panthers are still winless after four weeks. In their last game, the Panthers suffered a 21-13 home loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. 2023 NFL Draft first overall pick Bryce Young went 25/32 against the Vikings, but only passed for 204 yards and zero touchdowns while getting sacked five times for a loss of 55 yards.
He has yet to turn the corner as a pro, but the hope is still very much alive for the Panthers that he will finally do at some point in the future. Veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen, meanwhile, is starting to make his presence felt in Carolina’s offense, recording over 221 receiving yards and a touchdown in the last two Panthers games.

The Lions continue to roll. After beating the Atlanta Falcons (20-6) at home in Week 3, Detroit took down the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 4, 34-20. David Montgomery exploded for 121 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries against the Packers.
It might be too much to expect him to be as productive against Carolina, but the opportunity is there, considering that the Panthers are just 26th in the league with 136.3 rushing yards allowed per game. Meanwhile, The Lions’ defense is licking its chops over the prospect of neutralizing Young a week after Detroit intercepted Jordan Love twice and sacked him five times.
