Things are not looking good at the moment for the Rams, who are now two games under .500 after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, 43-20. That was an embarrassment of a loss for Los Angeles, which might also not have Matthew Stafford ready for Week 9. Stafford left the Cowboys game with a thumb injury and after throwing for only 162 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 13/22 completions.
In case Stafford can’t play against the Packers, the Rams likely will start Brett Rypien, who’s honestly not much of a quarterback. Los Angeles can go run-heavy, though, versus the Packers, whose one of many great weaknesses this season is stopping opposing rushing attacks. In fact, the Packers are just 27th in the league with 132.0 rushing yards allowed per game. That’s music to the ears of Rams running backs Royce Freeman and Darrell Henderson Jr.

Something is wrong in Green Bay. After winning two of their first three games of the season, the Packers have lost all of the succeeding four games, including Week 8’s 24-10 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Love is having a hard time rediscovering the form he had in the early goings of the 2023 NFL regular season.
In the Minnesota game, he went 24/41 for 229 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception while getting sacked four times for a loss of 33 yards. Love has to be more decisive and quicker in his decision-making in the pocket. Green Bay’s pass protection still looks decent with the Packers posting a 5.72 offensive QB sack rate but is 29th in the league with a 3.40 interception rate on offense.
