In this way, we believe that there are some who will show good reflexes and help their teams to achieve favorable results.
The goalkeepers’ mission is to prevent the opponents from scoring, and each one has different abilities to accomplish it. Some of them make outstanding saves in the air, while others prefer to come out and contain the attack with their feet.

5. Nahuel Guzman – Tigres
Argentine goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán arrived in Mexican soccer in 2014 and has since taken over the goal of Tigres UANL.
He is a confident goalkeeper who manages to make opponents uncomfortable. He has a great technique with his feet and is willing to play a little further forward in his area to be more involved in the game. For numerous tournaments, he has been one of the greatest players on the “Felino” team, and this one is expected to be no different.
4. Tiago Volpi – Toluca
Brazilian goalkeeper Tiago Volpi returned to Mexican soccer to strengthen Toluca. He is building up to be one of the greatest goalkeepers for the Apertura 2022, as his talent at the goal is well-known. In his previous stage in Mexican soccer, he played for Querétaro and was always one of the most important players. He is a penalty-saving goalkeeper, and perhaps that is his main quality.

3. Carlos Acevedo – Santos
Carlos Acevedo took over the Santos goal, and now it seems very unlikely that he leaves it. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has shown a good level and thanks to this he has been called up to the Mexican National Team. By air or on the ground, the Torreón-born player has demonstrated his ability to respond to opponents’ attacks, making use of his youthful reflexes.
2. Guillermo Ochoa – America
Guillermo Ochoa has an extensive career in both Mexican and international soccer, and is currently the undisputed starter in goal for the Mexican National Team. At 36 years of age, his reflexes are still intact and he is capable of flying into the goal to avoid seemingly impossible shots.
His performance could be much better than in past tournaments, considering that this is a World Cup year and the goalkeeper is looking to attend his fifth World Cup and become a historic player.
1. Camilo Vargas – Atlas
Colombian Camilo Vargas is one of the best goalkeepers in Liga MX today. He has played a vital role in Atlas’ two-time title run, offering leadership and instilling confidence in his colleagues.
The outstanding performances in goal are expected to continue. The league recently awarded him the Balón de Oro for best goalkeeper.
