The MLS vs Liga MX All-Star Game will bring together the talent of the two North American leagues on Wednesday, August 10, in the city of Minnesota. MLS called up 26 players, while Liga MX presented 25 players on its roster, choosing the players who are in the best moment.

For the second year in a row, the stars of both leagues will face off in the MLS All-Star Game vs M LeagueX. It is worth remembering that in the last edition, it was the U.S. league that won in a penalty shootout 3-2, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. The match was held on August 25, 2021 at the Banc of California, which is the home of Los Angeles FC, the team in which the Mexican player Carlos Vela plays.

Forwards: Valentín Castellanos (New York City FC), Jesús Ferreira (FC Dallas), Taxiarchis Fountas (D.C. United), Javier Hernández (LA Galaxy), Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders), Raúl Ruidíaz (Seattle Sounders), Carlos Vela (LAFC) and Paul Arriola (FC Dallas).

However, a change was made to the official roster as, instead of Valentín Castellanos, who left this summer for European soccer, it will be FC Cincinnati’s Brandon Vázquez who will appear among the MLS strikers.

On the Liga MX side, 25 players have been selected for this match, with two goalkeepers, 12 defenders, five midfielders, four forwards and two rookies.

Defenders: Kevin Álvarez (Pachuca), Diego Barbosa (Atlas), Luis Reyes (Atlas), Brayan Angulo (Toluca), Hugo Nervo (Atlas), Lisandro López (Tijuana), Matheus Doria (Santos Laguna), Jesús Angulo (Tigres UANL), Aldo Rocha (Atlas), Luis Chávez (Pachuca), Erik Lira (Cruz Azul) and Fernando Beltrán (Guadalajara).

Midfielders: Julián Quiñones (Atlas), Ángel Mena (León), Avilés Hurtado (Pachuca), Alexis Vega (Guadalajara), Álvaro Fidalgo (América).

Forward: Julio Furch (Atlas), Juan Dinenno (Pumas UNAM), Germán Berterame (Monterrey) and Uriel Antuna (Cruz Azul).

Rookies: Jordan Carrillo (Santos Laguna) and Heriberto Jurado (Necaxa).

At the last minute it has been announced that there will also be changes in the list of Liga MX representatives. Goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo (Santos Laguna) was added, while Matheus Doria (Santos Laguna), Diego Barbosa (Atlas) and Jordan Carrillo (Santos Laguna) will be replaced by Juan Escobar (Cruz Azul), Guido Pizarro (Tigres) and Luis Quiñones (Tigres).
