Chicharito Hernandez is once again involved in a controversial situation; this time, however, it’s not because of his performance on the field, but because of an attitude that irritated all Mexicans.

The striker of the LA Galaxy of the MLS, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, appears in a video that is circulating on social networks, and which has sparked controversy. In this video, we can clearly see how he is handed a Mexican flag so as to sign it, but he throws it to the ground with a pen in his hand, indicating that he doesn’t want to.

Criticism of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player has not stopped pouring in, and it seems that his reaction is due to the fact that he has not been called up to the Mexican national team. Chicharito Hernández was called up by coach Gerardo Martino in September 2019, and almost three years later, he has not worn the “Verde” jersey again.

Much has been said about whether he is banned from the national team, or if he has a personal problem with the coach, but neither version has been confirmed, as “Tata” has repeatedly said that he has focused on calling the players who show the best performance.

Two Controversial Videos of Chicharito Hernandez in the Same Week

Chicharito Hernandez despises Mexican flag

The Mexican striker refused not just to sign the Mexican flag, but also to give an autograph or pose for a photo with a kid who approached him. The video has also gone viral on social media, where people are bashing the former Chivas player.

His latest actions have prompted social media users to label him a snob, and even prominent journalists to call his greatness into question.

On the other hand, this Wednesday, August 3, the LA Galaxy will face Chivas, the team that trained “Chicharito”, as part of the Leagues Cup. If the player gets minutes in this match as expected, since he is the captain, it will be the second time the Mexican has played against Guadalajara in his entire career.

The first time was at the opening match of the Akron Stadium, when he played for Manchester United in 2010.
