There are good news for the Golden State Warriors heading into the start of the NBA playoffs. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Stephen Curry will join his team’s practice this week and has a very good chance of playing in the start of the first-round series against the Denver Nuggets.

This piece of news highlights the successful recovery of the star point guard, who suffered a series of physical problems that put in jeopardy his return to the team led by Steve Kerr for the final stretch of the 2021-22 NBA season.

Despite the aforementioned information, the Californian team keeps Curry a “close-call” to be available Saturday night’s game at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The return of the 34-year-old is key to the aspirations of a Golden State team that finished the regular round in third place in the Western Conference with a record of 53 wins and 29 losses.

As a result, fans in San Francisco are hoping to see the Big Three, who dominated the league in the final years of the previous decade, back on the court.

Curry began the season with numbers that put him in contention for the MVP award, but his second half has been marked by a foot injury, which has understandably caused his numbers to decline.

After 64 games, the best three-point shooter in history finishes the regular round with 25.5 points, 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds. In addition, he is shooting 43.7% from the field and 38% from three-point range.

In terms of playoff games, the veteran has been lethal during his career, averaging an impressive 26.5 points after 112 games.
