The waterfalls of Chiapas, Mexico
At the top of our list we have the magical El Chiflón waterfalls in Chiapas, Mexico. The state of Chiapas is located in southern Mexico and borders Guatemala and the Pacific Ocean. According to the Chiapas Tourism Office, El Chiflón waterfalls are approximately 120 m high with a staggered drop.
To get there from Comitán, take the Pan-American Highway (Federal Highway 190) to the east. After 5 km you must turn right onto state road 226 towards Tzimol. It is 35 km to the San Vicente River bridge, where the roads to the two ecotourism centers begin, each on one side of the river. There you can go hiking, rappelling, mountain biking and hiking.
Cotopaxi, Ecuador
The Cotopaxi Volcano is located in Ecuador, south of the capital city of Quito. It is approximately a two and half an hour drive to reach Cotopaxi National Park. It is an active volcano located in the Andes Mountains. It has a height of 5.897 m, and its most recent eruption was from August 2015 to January 2016.

Ollantaytambo in Peru
In the third place, we can find Ollantaytambo, which is located in Peru. The Quechua word is Ullantaytampu, which means “Ollanta’s storehouse or inn”. At the same time, “ollanta” means “place to look down”, i.e., it could be watchtower or lookout. This is an Inca archaeological site located in the department of Cuzco. It includes cobblestone streets and terraces that allow a view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Cocora Valley, Colombia

The best time to go depends on your objectives. If you wish to observe the mirror effect of the salt desert, it is best to go during the rainy season (December-April). On the other hand, if you wish to visit it, it is best to go during the dry season (May-November).
