In the United States, the 4th of July is a day of joy, happiness, celebration, independence and watching Joey Chestnut continue to make history as the man who can eat the most hot dogs on the face of the earth.

At 38 years of age, Chestnut continues to prove that his insatiable appetite for this dish is still intact and even being on crutches was not an impediment for him to win for the 15th time the national hot dog eating championship by eating 63 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Of course, this impressive moment did not go unnoticed neither for Jefebet, nor in social networks, which, taking advantage of the American holiday, were filled with memes, reactions, and praise for the historic eater.

Joey Chestnut Had a Performance Worthy of a Champion

While his rivals were hoping that a torn tendon in one of his legs would affect Joey Chestnut’s performance, the historic champion arrived at Nathan’s championship as if nothing had happened.

Minutes after his arrival, and prior to the start of the competition, Chestnut was the protagonist of one of the most incredible presentations ever. Enjoy it!

After the triumphant entrance everyone began to eat and Chestnut, like a great champion, could not let anyone bother him, not even a “protesting Darth Vader” who was harshly punished on stage. He certainly picked a bad time to give his opinion.

Despite the interruption, the champion did not stop gobbling hot dogs and ended up devouring almost 700 grams of protein in the 10 minutes that the competition lasted.

Proclaiming himself, once again, the national champion.

Memes Endorsed Joey Chestnut’s Achievement

Usually, memes on social media are used for mockery, but in the case of Joey Chestnut, a national 4th of July hero for the past two decades, they were used for commemorating him.

For some, he is the Tom Brady of the hot dog championship.

While for others, he represents one of the modern symbols of the 4th of July.

Nor could he miss the one who saw his performance as heroic after being crowned on crutches.

Neither the one who simply has no problem with Chetsnut saying he’s the best at eating in quantity.

Congratulations Joey, your legacy will live on forever and ever.
