Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5)
Regular season record: 1-2
Joe Burrow and the Bengals finally got a win. That’s the most important thing for Cincinnati after Week 3, as they defeated the Los Angeles Rams in a Super Bowl rematch last Monday, 27-24.
The Bengals’ offense is still problematic and not up to the lofty expectations set by many prior to the season, but at least they saw Ja’Mar Chase shine again at last, Chase went off for 141 receiving yards on 12 receptions and 15 targets in the Rams game. Considering how bad the pass defense of Tennessee has been so far this season, look for Chase to have another prolific outing in Week 4. The Titans are just 28th in the league with 275.4 passing yards allowed per game.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (+2.5)
Regular season record: 1-2
Like the Bengals, the Titans struggled on offense in Week 3 — only worse. Tennessee lost to the Cleveland Browns on the road last Sunday, 27-3, just a week after the Titans defeated the Minnesota Vikings in a shootout at home to the tune of a 27-24 (overtime) score.
Ryan Tannehill mustered just 104 passing yards on 13/25 completions, while Derrick Henry somehow only had 20 rushing yards on 11 carries. Henry, however, looks like a big candidate for a huge bounceback. He will next be facing Cincinnati’s defense that is allowing 151.7 rushing yards per game — third-worst in the NFL. As bad as he was against the Browns, Henry remains a scary force for opposing defenses to deal with.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans
Joe Burrow has dealt with health issues of late, but he should feel better in Week 4. With that, expect Cincinnati to win in Tennessee.
Prediction:
The Bengals win, 27-21.
